INTERNATIONAL GITA MAHOTSAV 2025
Sydney
The International Gita Mahotsav (IGM) is a global celebration of the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita, held every year in a different city or country. In 2025, Sydney will once again have the honour of hosting this spiritually enriching event, following the success of International Gita Mahotsav 2023.
With the divine blessings of Swami Shri Gyananand Ji Maharaj, founder of GIEO Gita in Kurukshetra, Haryana, the 2025 edition is being organised by the Association of Haryanvis in Australia (AHA), a not-for-profit organisation rooted in Haryanvi heritage yet inclusive of the broader Indian and Hindu ethos. AHA is proud to lead this effort with the support of over 50 Hindu organisations from across Australia, along with hundreds of volunteers.
AHA undertakes several cultural and community-driven initiatives each year to preserve and promote Indian traditions among the Indian Australian community. Among these, International Gita Mahotsav holds a special place in the hearts of our members and well-wishers. It is more than a festival — it is a vibrant confluence of devotion, knowledge, culture, and community spirit.
Through discourses, cultural performances, exhibitions, and a grand Gita Aarti at Parramatta River Foreshore, the Mahotsav brings to life the universal teachings of the Gita, making them accessible and relevant to people of all ages and backgrounds.
We are committed to making International Gita Mahotsav 2025 a grand success, filled with the same energy, devotion, and unity that defined the 2023 celebration. We invite all members of the Indian diaspora and lovers of Indian culture to join us in this divine celebration in Sydney.
Let us come together to honour the eternal message of the Gita — a guide for life, leadership, and inner peace.
